The diverse expertise and commitment of our board helps to ensure that our nonprofit adheres to its mission, achieves its goals, and maintains accountability to its stakeholders.
Mr Parker, a 2013 graduate of William Penn SHS, is one of York's most influential people for 2022. He is an Author, Motivational Speaker, and Owner of Tavon’s Lawn Care LLC. Tavon dedicates his time to helping our youth CHANGE THE NARRATIVE associated with their lives through his many workshops and mentorship programs.
Mrs Parker is a graduate of William Penn SHS (2013) and York College of PA (2017). Tanique is a Future Leaders of York Alumni, YCCOSP Alumni, and a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated. Through her work and entrepreneurial endeavors, she aims to help others by giving back and providing opportunities.
Ms Rohrbaugh is a York native and a Summa Cum Laude graduate from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Upon graduating from Law School in 2020, she began work as an Associate Attorney at Barley Snyder where she practices primarily Civil Litigation with a secondary practice of Education Law.
Mr Boatwright is a Class of 2007 graduate of Milton Hershey School and a man of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. He gained his Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts in 2012 from California University of PA.
Ms Ritter received her Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science from York College of PA, and her Masters degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix where she is also working on her Doctorate degree. Renee is also a proud member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Kappa Omicron Sigma Chapter.
Ms Howard is a 2013 graduate of William Penn SHS. She graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. From previous work history, she has experience with engaging and assisting families daily with locating resources, reunification and/substance abuse concerns.
Ms. Cruz is a Milton Hershey School alumna, Class of 2007. Alex graduated in 2011 from Temple University with a B.A. in Theatre and Latin American Studies and later returned for a M.Ed. in Urban Education. She earned her 2nd Master's Degree in 2017 and is currently a doctoral candidate at Rutgers University - Camden.
Dr Newton Miller currently serves as the Director of the Education Studies and Educator Preparation programs at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Dr Miller is also an author and has been committed to the education arena since 1995 when he converted non-traditionally from the ranks of the engineering field.
Dr Walker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Trauma Therapist. She is an Asst Prof at Coppin State University and has published manuscripts in the Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling and the Journal of Rehabilitation, Research, Policy & Education, and the Journal of Trauma Studies in Education.
